Supplier Sales Rep of the YearFor the second year in a row, Supplier Global Resource magazine will not only be announcing the results from its Supplier Sales Rep of the Year contest, but the announcement will be made live on ASI Radio!

Last year at this time, SGR Editor Michele Bell used the Internet radio platform to present AddVenture’s Brad White with the first-ever award, culled from hundreds of distributor votes to determine the top player in the industry. Humble and gracious, Brad accepted the award while giving ASI Radio a live interview. This year, we’re planning the same experience.

Stay tuned on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 10:30 a.m. EST when Michele and the rest of the ASI Radio gang will reveal the results of this year’s contest.

Good luck to all the supplier hopefuls!

Win $25 – Suggest An ASI Radio Show Topic

ASI RadioOne of the cool things about being a radio engineer and the “social network dude” for the weekly ASI Radio Show is that I’ve gotten to know some of our listeners pretty well. And when one of our shows covers a particularly helpful topic, these same listeners are not shy in pointing this out. In fact, when we cover a hot topic the phone lines and social networks just light up with tons of great questions and comments, a testament to how well our listeners have their fingers on the pulse of the industry.

For instance, our June 14 show titled Should You Bring Your Suppliers on Sales Calls? was so interactive it simply turned into a forum for users and listeners to engage with our show hosts. It was brilliant!

So, for our next radio show — August 9 — we are opening up show topic suggestions to you, our listeners, and offering a $25 Visa Gift Card to the suggestion we use! If you’ve got a great idea for a show topic, post a comment below to the blog, on ASICentral Facebook, in Twitter or email us at feedback@asicentral.com.

So stay tuned, and good luck!

ASI Radio Holla Back Line

From guest blogger and well-known industry personality and ASI Radio Show host Michele Bell …

Hey there and Happy Friday!
We have a brand new feature for ASI Radio — our “Holla Back” 24/7 call-in line — on which you can leave a message for myself and the other editorial hosts on any topic you’d like to rant or rave, snippets of which we may play on a future radio show. You can leave your name or kvetch anonymously — we want to hear what you’ve got to say!
The lines are now open at (215) 953-4977 so call and leave us a message — whether it’s sweet or snarky — we’ll take it all!
— Michele Bell
Editor, Supplier Global Resource
Senior Editor, Counselor

PS: An alternative name for the call-in line that we bandied about was “The Good Time Line,” until we realized it might elicit callers looking for something other than my editorial services. LOL!

PPS: For those of you who know me, try not to be put off when you hear my message on the Holla Back voicemail… Apparently, accordingly to Counselor editor Andy Cohen and managing editor Joe Haley, I sound “unnervingly and uncharacteristically pleasant.”
